November 15...It's Steve Irwin day

Steve Irwin day is the day the world celebrate Steves life, and all he did for our world.

When my son was very young ,we saw Steve and Terri on TV for the first time, and since we both are animal lovers, we were sat there in front of tv every time it was on, I even wrote n email (for Thomas, since he was too Young to write or understand English)and he even got one back.

Today Thomas big dream is to open a zoo one day, and he is working on it, and i believe he and his friend will do it one day.

Last year Thomas vent to Madagascar to "walk in Steves footsteps" and had a fantastic trip.

I am so sorry that a man who worked so hard for those who don't have a voice, had to die in such an early age

Crikey Steve, we miss you !!!!

Look what Bryan Adams wrote on his site

The 5th of November...
I woke up today and aside from it being my birthday, America has a new President, Congratulations President Obama! It's truly one of the best birthday presents I've ever had, because I've got hope; hope for people that have less, hope for people that need help, hope for a change that is so desperately needed in restoring some faith that there is someone that isn't governed by the need for conquest, but the need for compassion. If this is the kind of thing we have to look forward to in the next 4 years, then we will see a better world, because hope is all I/we could ever ask for.8:41AM

Is that nice or what ????
I really like this guy, and I so agree with him :o)

New York....in two month

In only two month from today I will be in USA, and I am sooooo looking forward to it.
My friend Charlotte and I will be staining with our friend Lindas daughter and husband in Philly, and will celebrate new years evening with them, and on the first day in 2009 we will be going to New York.
First I was to stay there alone for three days, coz Charlotte was going to Costa Rica for a few days, but she changed her mind, so now we got some days in NY instead. It has shorten our trip with 3 days :o(
It nice to have one to share everything with, but I will not have the chance to half of what I had hoped, and planed......
My friend Charlotte is working for the airlines, so we travel very cheap, and I have to be on the same flight as her (otherwise I would stay longer)so I can not complain, just be happy that she will take me with her (on business class.....)I wouldn't have a chance to go if she didn't.....
Only two more month

To forgive, or not.....

We were some friends together here the other day, and got to talk about forgiven, and it is really strange how different we looked at the word FORGIVE
I am a very forgiven person, because I have decided to be....
I must ad ,that nothing have ever happened to my love once, (thank god)and I might not feel the same way if that should happened, but I will not live my life after "what if"

I think we put different things into the word, because I forgive, doesn't mean I think it was the right thing, and if a person have done something bad and I forgive the person, doesn't necessary mean that I want to continue to see or be friends with the person......

Raising a son on my own from he was eight, I have told him that I can forgive EVERYTHING, (as long as he doesn't come a racist)I might be angry, or sad, but I will forgive him no matter what, and love him no matter what, again, he have never given me a reason to change my mind, and I like to think that he couldn't
I am not saying that ha can't make me angry, ohhh he known what to say and do, but I am never angry for to long, don't really have the red hair temper I should have.......

I think that forgive is a thing you do for yourself, to feel better inside, in my world, anyway.....

Paris !

Ok, here I go......
Paris was wonderful, Bryan Adams was fabulous as always....

We arrived on Friday, and since my friends (Jannie, Nette and Gitte ) all have been in Paris many times (Jannie and Nette lived there for more than a year) and the all speak France, I was kinda lost since I don't speak a word, so I just put my faith in their hands, and they gave me a fantastic holiday.
Monmartra

Le Louvre

Sacre Cæur, the most wonderful place

From the top of the Eiffel tower
I took a lot of pictures of the sun set, the sky was so amazing

And Bryan Adams, he played at the Zenith

So, here's my first Video......This is the Eiffel tower (sureprise....) in the dark, pretty amazing.....

Sacre Cæur in the back....

We were in Paris for 6 days and it felt like 14, coz we saw so much
I took 787 pictures, so it's been very hard for me to pick a few to put on here, but it would take too long to put all of them on.......lol

can't get the text to be where I want it.....hope you understand it, if not ask !

9/11

A rose for each person who lost their life on 9/11
You will never be forgotten !

I can't believe it's been 7 years since 9/11, I remember it like it was yesterday.

I was working (I work at home ) and my sister called and told me to turn on the TV, normal I don't turn on the TV in my working hours, but I did, and I was stunned.....

When I finished work, I sat in front of the TV the rest of the day, crying a lot for all the liefs there were lost for no reason at all.

The world will never be the same after 9/11

My thoughts and prayers goes out to all the people who lost a near and dear one on 9/11

My hand operation

My hand operation is over, it went fast and without any pain....
My hand before the OP And after. Notice the yellow fingers, and nails..... sure hope I can get it off before I go to Paris
In 3-4 days I can take this big bandage off at just have a little one on, and in 14 days I will have the stitches out, but I am not allowed to go to work till after 3 weeks.......

There is not really any pain at the moment, I have taken some pain killers and will do that tomorrow too, but then it should be ok.

My first grey hair....

Being blond as I am , you don't see grey hair till the day your hair is all white, but today when I was in in front of the mirror, it was there....right in the middle, and it was, grey and not blond. I pulled it out, not coz I didn't like it, it was more to make sure it was a grey hair....I actually like grey hair, and I don't mind looking my age, but It's easy for me to say since it is so hard to see I know....... My mother is over 70 and she is not all grey yet, so maybe I never will be all grey.......

A day in Tivoli

Here the other day I went in to Tivoli garden with my friends Jannie and Nette, and 3 of there friends from England.
Normal you can not bring dogs (or horses.....)into Tivoli, but one day a year, it's dog day (and horses......)and that was they day we went in there. I couldn't help talking a picture of this very big dog,(read:hors ) and I petted him too...Yes I am a dog person

This is the Chines tower, it is a lot nicer when it is dark and the lights are on, but by then, I was out of battery...

Downstairs from the concert hall, there is a 30 meters long aquarium, that sure is a must see

Nette,Yvonne and Kat in line for the big Balloon-wheel (not sure what it's called in English) Jannie and Wendy in the big wheel

The Star flyer, it is 80 meters high, and I was up there......not much to talk about really, it was spinning to fast to enjoy it....

Wendy enjoying a candyfloss, and no, she did not kill a Simpson.....

Jannie and Wendy on the Tivoli bus

Nimb, just re-decorated and made into a hotel, very beautiful...

The Pantomime, another lovely building, Harlequin and Co. is dancing here

I grew up next to Tivoli, so it was my playground as a child, so I got my first snog from one of those boys i the Tivoli guard......
When I look at them today, I still love it, but they are soooo young. They rage from 7 to 17 years of age, and so did I....

Well, at about this time I ran out of battery, so I have no more pictures.
We had a fun day, and if you come to Copenhagen, Tivoli is a must, check this out http://www.tivoli.dk/composite-3351.htm
There is a lot of both wild and nice rides, but most, it's a very beautiful garden, mostly after dark when all the lights are lit.

A new book

I love to read a good book, one of them you just can't put down, and for a long time I really don't think I have had any of them. It might have had something to do with my state of mind, I know that, but now I think I got the book.

I have been told it is a fantastic book, but I also know that the one others think is unputdownable, doesn't necessarily mean the same to me, but I have started on it (read about 100 pages)and I love it....still about 1000 pages left....This will take me some time, but that's great, I like a long book :o) but I don't think I will take it with me to Paris, it will be to heavy, and who will get time to read in Paris anyway ?

Saturday, August 30, 2008

You might need some help understanding me, so go to amazon.com and buy this book, and no, I don't get payed anything for writing this , since I only have about two readers.......(that being on a good day :o)

Just had to share....

I have made up my mind

Paris, here we come...... I am so excited, I have never been in Paris before, and I am sure I will love it.
I am going with three friends, and two of them have lived in Paris a few years back, so they will be perfect to show me all the things I just have to see.
We fly out on Friday September 19. and home on Wednesday 24. and on the 22. we are going to a Bryan Adams concert.....how cool is that, to see Bryan in Paris...

People who have been to Paris says that I just have to see the Eiffel tower in the dark, so I will make sure to do that :o) I ALWAYS listen....
Can't wait.....only 25 more sleeps....not that I am counting

Happy birthday

The Little Mermaid Today is her Birthday, she is 95 years old, and she "lives" on a stone by the water in Copenhagen

She was made by an artist called Edvard Eriksen in 1913. In her 95 years as a tourist attraction,

many things have been done to her.

In April 1964 she lost her head for the first time, and in January 1998 it happened again.

In July 1984 she lost her right arm, and in September 2003 she was blown of her stone, and she have been covered in paint 3 times in her life.

But today she looks beautiful as always, so happy birthday Mermaid

Paris or not...

Now I have the new date for my hand operation, it was suppose to be on may 7. but was canceled because of the strike, and now it will be on September 10.

The problem here, is that I am going to Paris on September 19. together with some friends, but are not allowed to travel when on sick-leave, and I am not allowed to work till after 3 weeks after the operation, so I don't know what to do....

I am thinking about calling the hospital to change the OP till after my Paris trip, but I so want it done, but I also want to go to Paris.....
